Pegasus Art, Griffin Mill

Autumn, 2018
We were commissioned by Pegasus Art to oversee the conversion of a portion of Griffin Mill in Stroud into additional provision for artist studios and workshop spaces. The work included the incorporation of a secondary stair to their existing retail space and artist studios below, restoration work to existing timber beams and the design and installation of joinery items throughout.
Griffin Mill as a whole consists of three substantial late 19th century brick buildings, originally part of a larger complex first recorded in 1599 which consisted of textile manufacturing and a saw mill. In addition to Pegasus Art, the site currently plays host to a number of light industrial units, retail spaces and workshops.
